Who We Are

Extraordinary Links exists to provide a safe, nurturing place for Disabled and SEN children.

Founded in 2020, Extraordinary Links CIO has been working hard with the help of our members and volunteers to help individuals in our area.

Our work is dedicated to funding and delivering activities and services to help disabled children and their families in our area. We strive to inspire and improve the lives of those who need assistance. Get in touch to learn how you can make a difference at our Charity.

Our founder, Gill, decided, after her child was refused a place at a well-known, international children’s group, that the only way she would find this sanctuary of fun was to provide it herself, and set up Extraordinary Links. While setting up this group, Gill discovered a few facts which changed certain aspects of her idea.

What We Do

It Starts With Family.

We work hard everyday to better the lives of our charity’s families through our key objectives.

— We Listen

We know that a problem shared is not quite a problem halved, but it can really help to get things off your chest. We’re here to listen.

— We Build Networks

We’re building a strong network of families who are experiencing similar issues. When we work together, we can achieve anything.

— We Strengthen

Striving to help your child develop socialisation skills and confidence to achieve their best, giving them the strength to thrive.

— We Educate

We have a reading library full of resources for you to read at a meeting, or to take home and paw over at your leisure, no rush.

— We Signpost

We can help you work out where to find the information you need and how to go about accessing local services and support.

— We Care

We’re parents ourselves.

We’re here to help you and your famiies get the most out of life.

Impact Stories

Sarah S.

Very understanding and supportive, extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend for anyone needing sen advice and support

Mandy T.

A fantastic resource session and support network. Many activities to choose from (or to not, whatever you prefer ) and a very welcoming environment where children can be themselves. Activities and equipment to aid various additional needs offering enjoyment and relaxation to children whilst parents/carers embrace the understanding of others and enjoy watching the children be the fascinating little people that they are.
